Yup, I`m sad.
So I just found out that I`m currently suffering from depression. I haven`t been diagnosed or anything by a medical professional (duh, I haven`t told anyone yet except a close friend who lives thousands of miles away) but I`ve checked a couple of websites, and apparently I have it. It explains a lot of what`s been going on in my life now. More later.

First Day of School '08!
Isn't it weird how people say it's the First Day of School for 2008 when actually, the first day of school for this year is somewhere in January after Christmas Break? Hahaha yeah, I just had to throw that in. It's the first day of school and I missed my bus cause' it just decided to actually come on time today. It was pretty chilly in the morning though it got A LOT hotter later on in the day. My classes aren't that bad. Like it could be worse. My first period teacher is this lady who looks to be about in her 40's - 50's who spent the entire half an hour of class just sitting there on her desk, not really doing anything. For some reason my crappiest class is always the one I have third period, but I usually balance it out by having awesome chill sessions at lunch with my friends. Ugh, this time my lunch isn't 'till 3C which is the last lunch period, when the food is cold, the caf tables are dirty and there's a marching band beneath my ribcage. LOL to be honest it really doesn't bother me, but it's the first day so I feel compelled to rant. But back to 3rd period, one of my classmates is this guy who I crushed on last year (if it wasn't for a backstabbing friend, he never would've found out. I never intended for him to find out. One because I am totally pathetic when it comes to asking a guy out, and Two: I knew he had a girlfriend) who was supposed to graduate last year but apparently didn't. And it's not like we sat far away from each other, he sits in front of me! And the teacher's the one who assigned us our seats! Our last names aren't even that close to each other so alphabetical order my ass!! Plus the guy's preeeetty tall and I can't see the teacher without seeing his nicely gelled, freshly (and might I say handsomely) cut hair. Plus third period is MATH my WORST subject. I told myself that I needed to focus this year cause' I'm a senior now, but I'm pretty sure you guys know that all chances of me getting a good mark for Math this sem just went down the drain.

FIRST THING IN THE MORNING: HEARTBREAK
Publishing Status: Finished So I wake up pretty early (for a summer, laze morning that is) at around 8:20 am and turn on the computer (cuz hey, I totally have a life). First thing I see on my Facebook News Feed is a picture of my crush kissing a girl. Next, I log on to my Friendster with my message replied: (A new friend of mine, named Lloyd just immigrated here from the same place in the Philippines that I came from - rather one of the school that I knew pretty well. He went to the same school as my old crush, Jason, [first love actually. It's a pretty funny story how I started crushing on him] and I had sent Lloyd a message yesterday asking if they knew each other.) and it turns out that they do! Even if this doesn't seem like such a big deal, who wouldn't want to dig up dirt on an old heartthrob? ;) But I'm still devastated over that Facebook pic. It's not on my News Feed now, since it randomly disappeared after a few refreshes (God is merciful) but needless to say I went to the girl's profile to check. She wasn't on my Friends' List, but thankfully her profile was set to public (Can you say, Facebook stalker?) I just had to confirm it - which I did, they are officially dating - and break my heart some more. All this in less than a couple of hours. Right now, I'm just counting on the fact that maybe I'm just dreaming and that when I wake up, my Facebook News Feed will have no pictures of my to-be-boyfriends making out with other girls.

Leaving Florida
Publishing Status: Draft Category: Family & Vacation So today is our last day in the States. Our flight is in a couple of hours, and it's relatively calm here at the house. Usually my mom would go crazy with the last-minute packing, which would put her in a really bad mood which she would obviously take out on us, her kids. This morning she was in a pretty bad mood, and so was my little sister. But now they're both watching a movie with my Aunt and Grandma. For some reason, my mom's bad mood always seems to vanish when she's around my Aunt. They have so much in common. My Aunt is a really happy, carefree woman. LOL my grandma even suggested that she be a politician, since everyone loves her so much. I honestly can't believe that it's over already. The week went by wayyy to fast. Well, that's what they always say when they're on vacation. Even though I wasn't really excited to come here (I was perfectly content with lazing about at home doing nothing but playing House of the Dead 2&3 at my computer all day), now I really wish I didn't have to leave so soon. My dad wasn't very happy when he discovered that our baggage had doubled during our stay here. But that's what you get, when you've been shopping everyday of the week. Could we help it if it had been raining every afternoon since we got here, and we were stuck in those shopping malls with the cute little outfits that we just had to buy? Nope, it was fate :)

San Agustine
Publishing Status: Draft Category: Family & Vacation We were planning on going to San Agustine today (or rather, yesterday, since it's 12:12 AM right now) but the grown ups had gone out shopping in the morning, and had wanted to do the sightseeing in the afternoon. But then it had started raining,as usual, (it rains ever afternoon everyday I've been here)

Epcot Center
Publishing Status: Draft Category: Vacation I went to Epcot Center yesterday. I'm not really one for amusement parks, and I definitely didn't really have as much fun here as everyone anticipated me to. I would rather go to the mall any day than hang out at like Disneyland or whatever. I hate waiting in lines that are longer than the rides. I hate walking the 500 km it takes to get from one good ride to the next, not to mention the blistering heat that I have to walk in (not saying that the rain makes it any better either). I hate the tacky souvenirs and the overpriced merchandise. I hate having to eat the pricey, dry food there just because they won't let you bring your own snacks to eat. And I hate that random employee who hit me on the head with a balloon as I passed by. I don't even have the slightest clue why she did it. When I turned around to look at her, she was just looking back at me with a casual expression on her face. Freaky random bitch. Please take note that I am pressed for time on this vacation so most of my recent blog posts will be unedited, unfinished and rushed. I'll edit them once I get back home. Thanks for understanding!

Back from Amelia Island
Publishing Status: Draft Category: Family & Vacation So I just spent the past 3 day at Amelia Island with my family. Since I am pressed for time (tomorrow we're headed for Orlando) I'm just going to post a brief recap of my adventures, and elaborate when I do have the time. On our way to Florida: My first flight was delayed 45 minutes so we risked missing our second flight. Thankfully, that one too was delayed by more than 55 minutes. We finally arrived at the airport just minutes from midnight only to discover that the airline lost our luggage. It just had to be the one suitcase with all our clothes. They promised to have it and call us by noon the next day. It was past noon w/o any word from them, so we called the airport. They said that they had our luggage and was planning on delivering it. We waited for about another hour, and called again. This time they say that the man in charge of delivering it never picked it up. So we ended up having to drive all the way back to the airport to get the suitcase. Amelia Island: We rented out this really nice snug cottage at a resort. PS: This entire post was rushed (my mom really wouldn't be happy to see me at the computer on vacation, but what else am I supposed to do when everybody's still asleep?!) so if there's a lot of mistakes, or if it cuts off suddenly, I'll be sure to correct it when I have time :)

July 25&26
Publishing Status: Draft Category: Family The night before last night was this family party over at my Aunt's house. Two of my cousins who spent their vacations with us were going back home to the US the next day. I've always loved chilling with them. Both of those cousins were boys, aged around 10-13. They were like little brothers to me. It was pretty fun, especially with my baby cousin Lucy playing with the brushes from my cousin Sarah's make-up set. I even managed to take a picture! No easy feat considering that the moment she sees the flash, she stops whatever she's doing. And if I don't use the flash, the image comes out horribly blurred. We decided to leave at around midnight cuz my dad had work the next day and we had a flight to catch tomorrow.
Category: Travel I thought that since the flight wouldn't be till 5:00 pm that there would be no rushing and hassle for our flight. Boy was I wrong. We woke up at around 12:00 noon yesterday so we had to order pizza for brunch and finish the last of our packing (this is mostly due to me and my bad habit of doing everything last minute), which involved packing and unpacking and repacking and transferring the packages into other suitcases just to fit the 50 pound airline limit. This continued even after we were already in line at the check-in counter! Once we finally got to check in, they asked for the address that we were going to be staying at, and turns out that my mom didn't have it. Worse, she also didn't have my Aunt's phone number on her cell phone so she couldn't call. We ended up having to call Dad back home to tell us the number, then had to call our Uncle again to ask for his address. So that part went okay. I don't think the other people in line appreciated it that much though. I really don't like the stupid "No Liquids" rule on the plane. I'm someone who tends to drink a lot. I drink when I'm nervous, when I'm bored, whatever. And because I'm used to it, I get thirsty real easily. Thankfully, the airlines serve beverages. We found out that our first flight was delayed 40 minutes and realized that we would have only about 20 minutes to get to our connecting flight! The trip was shorter than we expected, but also more delayed than we thought. Once we landed, it took us quite awhile to find someplace to "park" the plane. Apparently our "landing gate" (?) was taken and we needed to find another one all the way at the end of the field or something. So my mom got real worried because if we missed our connecting flight, the next one would be at 8:00 am the next day. As much as I love airports, I would HATE to stay overnight in one. I'm not the most patient person in the world, and I really don't like having to wait. It makes me feel like I'm wasting bits and bits of my life. Thankfully, our second trip was delayed as well for 50 minutes. Unfortunately for me, the airport Starbucks didn't have a frappucino. :( I love coffee and I especially needed it that night, since our arrival to Florida would be late, plus the drive to Georgia and my mom didn't want me to sleep on the plane so that I wouldn't get jet lag when we arrived. I would've gone for a hot coffee but I have to wait 'till it's just the right temperature before I can drink it, and I wasn't sure I could finish it in time. No Liquids, remember? When we finally boarded that second plane, it was cramped. As in, there was one narrow aisle for people to walk through, two seats on the left and one on the right. And the ceiling was probably about 5'6 " tall. PS: This entire post was rushed (my mom really wouldn't be happy to see me at the computer on vacation, but what else am I supposed to do when everybody's still asleep?!) so if there's a lot of mistakes, or if it cuts off suddenly, I'll be sure to correct it when I have time :)
